Periyar believed that progress begins with questioning. In that spirit, Periyar 148 invites participants to submit thoughtful, rational, and thought provoking questions for our Chief Guest during a special interactive session: “Ask the Speaker, Spark the Change.” This is an opportunity for students, young professionals, and community members to engage in meaningful dialogue on topics that matter, including social justice, equality, rationalism, scientific thinking, education, democracy, human rights, gender equality, caste discrimination, freedom of expression, and other contemporary social issues.

• 🏆 Selected questions asked live: On Saturday, September 19, 2026, as part of the Periyar 148 Birthday Celebration, selected participants will personally ask their question live to the Chief Guest.
• 📍 Where: Question submission is online; the live session is at the Periyar 148 Birthday Celebration.
• 👥 Who can participate: Kids aged 8–15 — thinkers, question-askers, and future changemakers welcome!

Participants are encouraged to submit original questions that are:

• Respectful and constructive
• Based on reason, evidence, and critical thinking
• Designed to encourage meaningful discussion and new perspectives

This session is not a debate or a quiz. It is an opportunity to practice the spirit of rational inquiry, challenge assumptions, and engage in informed conversations, values that Periyar championed throughout his life.
